The Cruciform Podcast: Cross-shaped Life & Ministry
Two central ideas shape my approach to Christianity. 1.The Christian life is cruciform, shaped by Jesus' self-sacrifice on the cross. 2. The Christian life is a life of emptying ourselves, following Jesus' example in Philippians 2.7: "Think about yourselves the same way Jesus did. He was equal to God, but he didn't demand his rights. He emptied himself, and became a servant, obeying God's plan by going to the cross."

In the New Testament, the Spirit's primary work is not miraculous gifts, etc., but to change us, to transform us into the people God wants us to be.
But how does he do this? According to Paul, he does this by changing the way that we THINK, the way we see the world, our values and priorities, etc.
Our minds are the battlefield where Satan and the Spirit are slugging it out day after day. What can we do to align our hearts with the Spirit's priorities?
